Part of our mission at the LA Moran Reforestation Center is preservation of local ecotypes from Putah Creek. In the case of elderberries, this involves collecting, extracting and processing elderberry fruits to yield seed for planting at the nursery. Many of the steps are common to harvesting other seeds.
